Hey Apple Give Us Our Pink iPhone!
3 Alternatives To Buying A Non-Existent Pink Unit
Trust me, I tried.
As early as the iPhone 2g, I have already emailed Apple – countless times in fact – about releasing a pink unit.
Just imagine… a pink iPhone.
How glorious the world can be! A phone that will perfectly represent our sense of style and our taste in fashion! A phone that will symbolize our preferred lifestyle! A phone that will paint our lives in a wonderful hue every time our fingers slide across its screen!
For many women, a pink iPhone is the pinnacle of techno-fashion. It just screams perfection. It’s the ideal match of form, style and function. Pink and iPhones… the heavens above intended them to be together!
And I know I’m not the only one who’s been clamoring for a pink iPhone.
Alas, our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Years after the very first iPhone was released, and more than a year after the revolutionary iPhone 3g was introduced to the market, there is still no sign of a pink variety of the device.
Rumors have swirled in recent months that a pink iPhone is on its way. But they remain rumors until this point in time. The talks about the pink iPhone being released in time for Valentine’s Day of 2009 never materialized, and people like us are slowly losing hope.
Hence, us desperate souls have to resort to other means just to get our pink iPhone fix.
One such alternative is, without a doubt, the simplest of the lot. There are many silicon casings for our beloved iPhones, and a lot of them come in pink. Take, for example, the Marware Sport Grip, a product that comes in pink and which seeks to protect your iPhone from wear and tear. Aside from a scratch-free unit, you’d also be able to create the illusion of having a pink iPhone… at least from afar.
Another alternative are decal stickers. Decal stickers simulate the look and feel of the actual surface of the iPhone. If expertly implemented, these stickers won’t look like stickers at all. They will look like the actual surface of the iPhone straight from the factory. And yes, there are pink decal stickers.

The third alternative is quite popular these days. ColorWare is a service that customizes gadgets so that they can assume the color you want them to assume – pink included, of course. ColorWare customizes laptops, MP3 players, gaming consoles, digital cameras, iPods, cellular phones, and yes, iPhones. Just select a design, send over your unit, and in just a matter of days, you’d have it back in the color you want it to exhibit.
These options are our best bets until such time when Apple finally listens to our demands for a pink iPhone.
